Transparency & Trust

We want to offer full transparency into our fund raising goals and where the money will be used.

Cycle 1 and Future Cycles

For the purposes of planning and estimates, 'Cycle 1' is until we reach our goal of $10 million in donations which will enable us to run our Super Bowl Commercial while also reserving funds for supporting identified non-profit organizations. The following is a provisional budget of how we estimate the funds to be used which are received as part of 'Cycle 1'.

For future cycles we expect donations received to increase annually as awareness is achieved and hype is built around our crowd sourcing commercial concept. In relation to annual donations received increasing, the portion of our budget allocated to Super Bowl commercials will decrease and funding for charitable initiatives will increase.

Cycle 1 Estimated Budget

Donation target - $10 Million.

  • Super Bowl Commercial - $7m (70%)

  • Funding & Supporting non-profits, their programs and other charitable initiatives - $2m (20%)

  • Operations : Salaries (capped at 4%), Marketing, Utilities, other incidentals and professional services - $1m (10%)

Variables and Caveats

Things don't always go to plan and we have identified some variable and caveats, good and bad, that we wanted to share so there are no surprises and could alter the budget above:

  1. Employer Donation Match - If we receive company matched donations that are part of our donor's employment benefits, we will include towards our initial total to fund our budget. However, if the required number donors/donations reaches the target without employer matching, any additional matched funds above the $10m target will be routed directly to the "Funding & Supporting non-profits, their programs and other charitable initiatives" bucket mentioned above.

  2. Timing and Availability - If our donation target is not reached in time for the next Super Bowl, or if commercial slots are no longer available, the funds will be rolled forward to the next Super Bowl.

  3. Charitable Funding to Remain - In the situation where, for example, only $5m is raised and a Super Bowl LIX commercial purchase is not possible, we plan to still apportion funds received to supporting Non-Profit Organizations and Initiatives without delaying until reaching funding goals to purchase a Super Bowl commercial the following year. In the above example, we would aim to roll $4m, less operational expenses, towards the purchase of the following year's Super Bowl and commence funding initiatives with $1m. This way the organizations that can benefit from from funding do not have to wait.
